First Line Fridays: Fawkes by Nadine Brandes

FirstLineFridays

Welcome to First Line Fridays, hosted by Hoarding Books!

This week was so exciting. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society released. I’ve already watched it twice and read the book. I think it’s my favorite period drama so far. Did you watch it? What did you think?

For today’s First Line Fridays, we have a theme! Today’s book is from an author that I haven’t read yet but totally plan to soon.

Anywho, time for what we’ve all been waiting for.

Welcome to First Line Fridays, hosted by Hoarding Books!

How is everyone doing today? We have had tons of torrential weather here the last few weeks so I’ve been curling up with books and binge-watching lots of Father Brown (a British show set in the 50’s that is based on G.K. Chesterton’s novels about a priest who does detective work. It’s quite addicting and I’m anxious for season seven to release.) and Friends. What should I check out next?

Anywho, now what we’ve all been waiting for.

Today just hasn’t my day guys. I totally forgot to have this up and ready for today. So of course I hurried and tried to get this post up, but it just wasn’t happening. Interruptions just kept happening. One of those interruptions being that my laptop decided it was time to run updates.

Anyways, now that there aren’t any interruptions, here is today’s post.

Today’s first line comes from a must-read Christian YA fantasy novel. If you enjoy Harry Potter or Percy Jackson, then I’d recommend this for you.

Hello and good  morning!

Welcome to First Line Fridays, hosted by Hoarding Books!

How are you guys doing today? I’m finding myself having taken too many books on to reive this month so I’m buried in books and trying not to feel overwhelmed. But hey, it goes perfectly well with rainy days so I’m not complaining.

I also found out I liked squash this week. I never liked squash so I’m not sure what changed. I even asked my mom for some for lunch today so there must be something wrong with me. LOL.

Anywho, time to share this week’s first line.

First Line Fridays: No One Ever Asked by Katie Ganshert

Hello and good morning!

Welcome to First Line Fridays, hosted by Hoarding Books!

Happy belated Memorial Day! I hope everyone’s day was splendid. The rain held out for a good part of the day which allowed me to be able to spend the day at SeaWorld with my family. They have a super cool deal going on for veterans right now. Veterans can go to the parks for FREE as well as up to three guests until July fourth. Busch Gardens has the same deal going on right now too.

On a side note, it has been raining every single day for over two weeks and I really miss the sun. I apologize for not participating in last week’s First Line Fridays. Every time I would go to write the post, a thunderstorm would happen and I don’t trust keeping my computer plugged in while a storm is happening.  It was the perfect weather to curl up with a good book or two so I accomplished finishing a lot of books this week though.

In fact, the book I’m featuring this week is one that I’ve recently finished.
