Happy Friday Everyone! How is everyone doing?

It’s been an interesting week. Lightning is intense, especially here, in Florida where we are known as the lightning capital. It recently took out the electric box for the internet.

Since it’s Friday, grab the closest book to you and leave a comment with the first line.

About the Book:

Zara Ruiz has never been so happy to have failed at something in her life—trying to return to her own time. In Javier de la Ventura’s arms, she knows that 1840 is where she belongs…where she’s found true love and family. But when the ranch is viciously attacked, and she and Javier’s little brother are kidnapped, she is no longer certain where her journey might end. Javier de la Ventura is plagued by a sense of responsibility for praying that God would leave Zara in his own Alta California. But when she suffers because of her association with him, he commits to finding a way for her to return to her own time, if she wishes it. His heart longs for her to stay, but his mind tells him she’d be safer in her own era. Battered by the FOUR WINDS, can Zara and Javier find a way to remain together…forever? Today’s topic is: Books/Series That Should Continue Or Be A Spin-Off

Hey Everyone! Today we’re talking about the books/series that I think should continue or be a spin-off! As much as I hate saying goodbye to some of my favorite characters and their stories, I’m usually left satisfied with how they ended. I was able to come up with three of my favorite series that I would love to see with a spin-off because they’re based on characters within the series but never really had the chance to shine.

Today’s topic is:  Least Favorite or Ugly Covers

Although we say we don’t like to judge a book by it’s cover, we all know we do as readers. There aren’t too many covers that I don’t like because I’m the kind of person who will usually go for the pretty covers over the ugly ones. If the cover isn’t appealing, I won’t read it. Or if it’s one of those books that has multiple editions all with different covers, I tend to go for the better looking cover. The only time I go with a more simpler cover would be because I was trying to save money.

Many books tend to have real life people on them. I do like a lot of these, but there are a lot out there that look like they were badly photoshopped.

I am definitely not a fan of movie covers. I prefer the original covers. I’m not a huge fan of holding random actors as I read. Sometimes I feel like they take away the from the book and ruin the feel. They become overpopulaized. It’s an even worse feeling when you enjoyed the books but the movie was a total bust.

What about you? Do you have any least favorite covers? What are they? Share in the comments below!
