When I first received this book, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I am fascinated by the stories of World War II so I knew a little bit of what to expect and that it wasn’t going to be an easy read. I wasn’t at all familiar with how life was for the Dutch that were living in what been Dutch-occupied Indonesia. It is veryeye-opening and will reveal what war expects of children in the maelstrom. I learned a lot through the eyes of Jeremiah Prins. This however, will forever be added to my bookshelf.
