About the Book:

The highly anticipated sequel to the instant New York Times bestseller that critics are calling “out-of-this-world awesome.”

Genre: Science-Fiction / Dystopia

Series: When No One Was Looking, Book 1

The author, Kim Frauli, has been so kind to offer a free e-book copy of her book for all of my lovely readers. I recently read this so I think you guys may be interested in this. It wasn’t my favorite because there are a few kinks that I personally think the author needs to work on, but otherwise, I really enjoyed it. It is clean, wholesome, and perfect for the whole family. Certain aspects of this novel reminded me of Divergent. This isn’t a review so that’s all I am going to say about it other than the book summary below. Although, I may review it later on for the blog.

Have you ever felt such sadness when a series you’ve come to love has finally come to an end? Well, that’s the case with this. “The Returning” is the third and final installment of The Seers Trilogy. This wasn’t Rachelle Dekker’s, daughter of Ted Dekker, best work. While I have mixed feelings (you’ll see why later), it was an excellent wrap up. Read the rest of this entry

When I first picked this up, I wasn’t sure what to think. It sounded like a really interesting read, but it is one of the most hyped up books EVER. Everyone has been telling me I have to read this and it’s constantly showing up in my Instagram newsfeed. The cover for the hardback is also super cool. While it took a little bit for me to enjoy it, I have to say that I LOVED THIS BOOK! Read the rest of this entry

Oh my! Where do I even begin? This was pure awesomeness. I hadn’t read the previous books in the series so I wondered if I was going to need to read them before beginning this. You know, so I won’t get lost and confused. I didn’t! Don’t get me wrong, I will most definitely be reading the prior books, but I didn’t get lost or confused.

Did you know that Ted Dekker’s daughter is also a writer? Writing is most certainly in her genes. Fans of Divergent, The Hunger Games, or The Maze Runner are not going to want to miss this one.

Like all citizens since the Ruining, Carrington Hale knows the importance of this day. But she never expected the moment she’d spent a lifetime preparing for—her Choosing ceremony—would end in disaster. Ripped from her family, she’ll spend her days serving as a Lint, the lowest level of society. She knows it’s her duty to follow the true way of the Authority.

But as Carrington begins this nightmare, rumors of rebellion rattle her beliefs. The whispers contradict everything she’s been told; yet they resonate deep within.
