Hello and welcome to Top Ten Tuesdays hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl!

Today’s topic is all about sharing a favorite Top Ten Tuesday throwback. I’ve been recieving a lot of questions about how to be to become a book reviewer so I’ve been working on putting some content for you guys to check out on the blog.

Since I have only participated in Top Ten Tuesdays since the beginning of January, I decided to scroll through a bunch of the past topics. When I came along, “Top Ten Reasons Why I Love Book Blogging,” I knew that was the topic I wanted to speak about today.

So why do I love book blogging so much?

Top Ten Tuesday: Series I Gave Up On

top ten tuesday

Hello and welcome to Top Ten Tuesdays hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl!

Happy Tuesday!

Do you ever start a series and you realize it just isn’t for you so you give up on it? That’s today’s theme.

Now I usually will finish a series until the very end so I rarely ever decide to give up on a series. Although, there are some that I totally forget that there were new books so it might either take me longer to get to them or I just decide that it’s been too long. It happens.

Here are some of the series that I gave up on. Continue reading

Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Books I Meant To Read In 2017 But Didn’t Get To (and totallyyyy plan to get to in 2018!!)

Top Ten Tuesdays

Hello everyone! As many of you know, Tuesday Talks has died so I’ve been looking for something to fill its place to keep those bookish topics going! I love a lot of the topics these ladies come up with so I’m excited to introduce it the blog. Hopefully, you guys love them too!

Top Ten Tuesdays is a meme that was started by The Broke and the Bookish in 2010 and has been moved to The Artsy Reader Girl in 2018.

Ever tell yourself that you’re going to read that book, but by the end of the year, you never actually get to it? I have shelves filled with books that I meant to read this past year but didn’t. Whoops! Oh, the struggles of being a bookworm. That’s what we’re talking about this week.

There are so many books I could include on this list, but for time’s sake, I’ll just focus on the main ones that I really wanted to read last year.

Here are the top ten books that I’ve been meaning to read to and will hopefully read this year!

Tuesday Talks: Least Favorite or Ugly Book Covers

Today’s topic is:  Least Favorite or Ugly Covers

Although we say we don’t like to judge a book by it’s cover, we all know we do as readers. There aren’t too many covers that I don’t like because I’m the kind of person who will usually go for the pretty covers over the ugly ones. If the cover isn’t appealing, I won’t read it. Or if it’s one of those books that has multiple editions all with different covers, I tend to go for the better looking cover. The only time I go with a more simpler cover would be because I was trying to save money.

Many books tend to have real life people on them. I do like a lot of these, but there are a lot out there that look like they were badly photoshopped.

I am definitely not a fan of movie covers. I prefer the original covers. I’m not a huge fan of holding random actors as I read. Sometimes I feel like they take away the from the book and ruin the feel. They become overpopulaized. It’s an even worse feeling when you enjoyed the books but the movie was a total bust.

What about you? Do you have any least favorite covers? What are they? Share in the comments below!
