Glimmer Girls Series by Natalie Grant (Plus a Giveaway!)

Standard

Ok ok. You’re right. I’m not a kid. You’re probably wondering why I’m reviewing these though. Well, these are written by Natalie Grant who just so happens to be one of my favorite singers. Plus, these books are so fun and cute that anyone will love them! In fact, I’m giving away a copy of both books in the series to one lucky winner! Stay tuned until the very end to learn more.

The Glimmer Girls are Maddie, Mia, and Lulu. Maddie and Lulu are 10-year-old  twins and Lulu is six. They travel across the country where they discover adventure, mystery, and mischief. Their mother, Gloria Glimmer, plays a similar role to Natalie Grant since she is a famous singer. The girls are smart and sassy but they learn about many lessons along the way. These lessons include being good friends, telling the truth, and a whole more. God is also a huge impact in these stories.

Also, a fun part of this series is that you don’t have to read them in order to know what’s going on. You won’t be confused if you read them out of order because each book takes place in a different country or state. Read the rest of this entry

I was completely blown away by this novel. Mesu Andrews has a talent for writing biblical historical books.
It’s refreshing to know that there are some good Christian novels out there that are worth reading. It’s fascinating, engaging, thrilling, and causes one to stop and think. Mesu Andrews also knows how to tie in the Word of God without it being so overwhelming or preachy. We all live in fear of something, whether it’s death or childbearing like Anippe or something else. It’ll definitely change your perspective. Read the rest of this entry

When I first received this book, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I am fascinated by the stories of World War II so I knew a little bit of what to expect and that it wasn’t going to be an easy read. I wasn’t at all familiar with how life was for the Dutch that were living in what been Dutch-occupied Indonesia. It is veryeye-opening and will reveal what war expects of children in the maelstrom. I learned a lot through the eyes of Jeremiah Prins. This however, will forever be added to my bookshelf.
