Publisher: Bethany House

This is a different kind of book so I’m not entirely sure how to review it. It’s a really neat guide and if you are interested in different countries or want to be a missionary, then I would recommend this for you. Brian C. Stiller shares insights on many countries that we have heard of, such as Kenya, China, and Korea, but also about countries that we never knew existed. For example, have you heard of Mozambique? It’s Not What You Think by Jefferson Bethke

Release Date: October 13, 2015

Publisher: Thomas Nelson

ISBN-10: 1400205417

ISBN-13: 978-1400205417

Genre: RELIGION / Christian Life / Spiritual Growth

The title is perfect when it comes to describing Jefferson Bethke’s book. It’s Not What You Think! Most of us have heard the Gospel, but how many of us actually understand what it is and what it means? The Gospel is so much more than just a transaction between us and Jesus Christ. Jesus didn’t just die on the Cross so that we can go to heaven when we die.

Bethke guides his readers from the creation of the universe in Genesis to the celebration in Revelation. When we learn to examine the Bible from the beginning, we see a story so much more beautiful and compelling than how many Christians are telling it today. This was definitely my favorite part that he focused on. When it comes to the Bible, we can’t just take bits and pieces that we like. We need both the New and Old Testament because it shows us the whole story.
