Where do I even begin with this amazing new release from Becky Wade? First off, the cover is absolutely stunning. I recently read in one of Mrs. Wade’s blogs that this is a real life married couple on the cover as well. That just makes it even more precious!

Plus, this was an amazing end to the Porter family series. This is one of the most COMPELLING romances I have read in a long time. Filled with very interesting close-to-real-life characters while also being interesting is a wonderful mix.

Release Date: April 5, 2016

Publisher: Bethany House

ISBN: 9780764213083

Genre: Fiction / Romance

Series: Walker Family, Book 2

Oh my word! Where do I even begin to describe this book of pure awesomeness? Melissa captures the reader’s attention from the very first page through an exchange of emails. It’s rare when the first page captures a reader these days so that’s saying a lot! In fact, readers will be flying through these pages as if there was no tomorrow.

Like Never Before is book two of the Walker family series, but it can easily be read a stand-alone without being confused. It’s obvious that Melissa poured her whole heart into this novel. It’s intriguing, witty, thought-provoking, and sometimes quite serious provided the perfect backdrop. Wisdom is found throughout the pages.

Genre: Historical Fiction / Biblical Fiction

Angela Hunt is one of my favorite authors  so when I learned she wrote the novelization of the movie, I was ecstatic and had to read it! While the story is on the redundant side, it’s always fascinating to imagine the resurrection of Jesus Christ through a tribune’s eyes.

I have not seen the movie so I cannot compare the book towards it. However, I have heard that the movie is good but lacks in the scriptural content. Angela Hunt uses tons of scripture references (but not overwhelming!) and lots of historical context. She also includes a bibliography of her sources that can be found at the back of the book. This is a different kind of book so I’m not entirely sure how to review it. It’s a really neat guide and if you are interested in different countries or want to be a missionary, then I would recommend this for you. Brian C. Stiller shares insights on many countries that we have heard of, such as Kenya, China, and Korea, but also about countries that we never knew existed. For example, have you heard of Moziambique? Chances are you probably haven’t. I know I haven’t.

Release Date: November 2015

Publisher: Bethany House

ISBN: 9780764213465

Genre: Fiction/Fantasy

Series: The Darkwater Saga

The Shock of the Night is a must read for any fantasy lover. Professionally written, full of creativity, fantasy and adventure, will make you feel as if you entered a completely different world. It is deep, dark, and downright depressing at times, but it is an enjoyable read nonetheless.

Although, not exactly considered a Christian Fiction novel as it is a world where God does not seem to exist, there are some elements. For example, the book is heavily set on gifts or talents that God (also known as Aer in their world) gives. There are gifts or talents for almost everything ranging from musical, the ability to design, swordsmanship, and so on.
