About the Book:

Grant yourself a peaceful time-out and take in the beautiful, poetic Scripture from the book of Psalms. The book offers a reading for each day and a ruled area to write your reflections, devotion or prayer. There are 52, one for each week, pen and ink illustrated pages with a stylized verse that can be colored in. After 365 days of readings, you will have studied the complete book of Psalm in the English Standard Version (ESV) translation. The book is bound in heavy-duty stock with a rose gold foil title and applications of spot-varnish. The design is completed by the rose gold gilt-edged pages.

My Thoughts:

I’m a huge fan of coloring books so I was beyond excited when one of my assistants for VBS gifted me a copy of “Bless the Lord, O My Soul“. This coloring book is small enough that you can stick it in your purse and take it on the go.

365 days, readers will walk through the book of Psalms. This is the book that I tend to turn to when I haven’t read my Bible in a while or I’m going through a rough time. The Psalms reminds us who God is and about His Word.

Each day, you’ll find a short passage to study and reflect on. Below is an example of what one of the pages looks like. There is plenty of space to add your Bible journaling each day. It also allows the user to focus on what the passage is saying about God and how we can apply it to our daily lives.

There are tons to color, including the inside flap of the book! Here is how I colored mine.

And you can color the cover page. Here’s how I colored mine.

Once a week, you’ll find beautiful coloring pages with a verse to color. Here’s one of the ones I did recently and I’m in love with how it turned out.

I love using colored pencils so I haven’t played around with anything else. There are a lot of small spaces so I think colored pencils would work best for this book. The colored pencils I used were just regular ones that you could find on Amazon and have worked perfectly. The paper is thin and not perforated so I don’t recommend using markers.

This would make a lovely gift for your loved ones.

I can’t wait to use this beauty over the next year!

Highly recommended!
