About the Book:

Jules Sheehan will do anything to keep custody of the two orphaned girls in her care—including a marriage of convenience with their uncle. Cam Quinn crosses the globe as a travel writer, but he’s ready to settle down. Now tough, tender Jules is offering the home he’s secretly longed for. Can this marriage in name only become a family of the heart?

My Thoughts:

I enjoyed Stephanie Dees’ Family Blessings series so much that I’m so sad that “The Marriage Bargain” is the fourth and final book. This is an adorable modern-day marriage of convenience tale.

Jules has become the legal guardian of her best friend’s Glory’s children after she passes away. Jules will do everything she can to make sure the girls are safe and sound. When Cam, Glory’s long lost brother, shows up, she becomes concerned that he’s going to try to take the children away from her. Or his mother who is up to no good will at least try.

Cam is desperate for a family after not truly having one of his own. He is an adventure book writer who travels from place to place. That is until he meets Jules. Will this marriage of convenience work in the long run?

This is a story that while we may want to control everything about our lives, sometimes in order to grow, we need a little chaos thrown at us. We watch characters who struggle with different things learn that their identities don’t come from perfection or family or success or any of the things that we try to replace God with our empty hearts. We can rest in the knowledge that God’s opinion is the only one that matters and that He loves us unconditionally.

I enjoyed everything there was about this book. It was brilliantly written in a way that it was impossible to put down because I had to know what happened.

Highly recommended!
