About the Book:
“There is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed.” Ty Westgate is an ex-lawyer living under witness protection. Brooke Dunbar is a young nurse, struggling to find hope and healing from her past. After four years in hiding, Ty puts his faith in Christ and realizes his moral duty to tell his unsaved parents about Jesus. While this step of faith holds eternal significance for Ty’s parents, it also puts Ty’s life in jeopardy. Together, in this fast paced novel, Ty and Brooke work to unravel the truth behind Ty’s adversaries. Will Ty’s decision to share his faith cost him his life? Will Brooke learn to trust the One Who can heal her past? The price of freedom may be too high.
Fans of White Collar will enjoy this latest release from Carol Kinsey. Witness Protection is a super fun suspense novel that will keep readers on their toes and the pages turning until the very end. Ty reminds me so much of Neal Caffrey. Both are well liked by everyone around them, both have that confidence of entering into places where they shouldn’t, both are rich and have expensive taste, both love good coffee, both love designer suits, and both have a good friend in the FBI. The main difference between Neal and our Ty is that Ty is a believer in Jesus Christ. Oh, man, did I love Ty. He is not only a believer, but he will do whatever it takes to encourage others to accept Christ into their lives. He also believes in telling the truth and living life honorably. He is one swoon-worthy male character that is easy to fall in love with.
Brooke was also a fun character. She’s a nurse who hates her job but ends up having the adventure of a lifetime when she meets Ty. While I can’t relate to her circumstances, Brooke has been through a lot in her past. Readers will find her relatable as well as their situations, even if none of us have actually been in some of those situations.
Readers will discover a clear Gospel message, trust and forgiveness, and a few other important messages throughout the pages which I absolutely loved. Carol Kinsey isn’t overly preachy but shares the truth where it’s needed.
Overall, I highly recommend this! In fact, I strongly encourage you to pick up a copy and read this. It’s the kind of read you’ll find yourself devouring in one sitting.
