First Line Fridays: The Last Summer by Brandy Bruce

Hey Book Lovers! How is everyone doing on this fine Friday?

First Line Fridays has been so much to be apart of. I’m hoping you guys are enjoying it too!

Since it’s Friday, grab the closest book to you and leave a comment with the first line.

The book I’m featuring today is: The Last Summer by Brandy Bruce

Since summer is starting to come to a close, I figured I would feature this lovely novel. It’s a must read for summer with a coming of age story about friendships, relationships, and learning to adapt to change. Be sure to check out my review!

And the first line is:

“I never meant for any of it to happen.”

Sounds intriguing, doesn’t it? What happened that summer that made her feel that way? Well, I guess you’ll just have read the book to find out.

Let me know your first line in the comments & then head over to see what First Lines these friends are sharing today:

  1. Definitely an intriguing first line … but it’s the middle of winter here in New Zealand, so I think I’ll let this wait until the weather starts warming up.

I’m sharing the first line from The Space Between Words on my website. I hope you stop by and check it out.

    • Wow! It still catches my by surprise when New Zealanders are experiencing summer much later than us Americans. 🙂

I stopped by and commented earlier. It looks like a great read! 🙂
