The Harrison Lodge is full of hiding places where young Kate can discover all the secrets no one wants her to know.
Any Ted Dekker fans out there?
Because I have an awesome new book to share with you!
Kate is eleven years old and she holds a lot of secrets that no one but her knows about. Some of these things include a sister’s stash of marijuana, another sister’s cash stealing, her grandfather’s banned candy bars. She also protects her mother and Gran by screening out any critical comments from the hotel suggestion box. But what happens when her grandfather’s best friend is murdered the day after Kate heard the two men arguing?
Meanwhile, a homeless man flees from a robbery gone wrong….a gang member seeks revenge for the death of his son…and a boy chooses the worst time to spray paint on a store window. Oh, and did I mention that all of these events will collide at the Harrison Lodge?
Kate will offer shelter to one of them, completely unaware of the terrible consequences to the family she loves.
I was excited to have received Hiding Places for review because I enjoyed Kiss written by both Erin Healy and Ted Dekker. While this novel starts out slow, in the beginning, it is definitely a heart-pounding suspense that will keep you glued until the very end. It is edgy and will keep you guessing at what will happen next. Ted Dekker fans will definitely gobble this thriller right up! I hope that you enjoyed it as much as I did. I can tell you the plot is fast-paced and as soon as you think you know what’s going on, everything changes. Healy made me want to visit the Harrison Lodge and check it out for myself!
Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book from the publisher for my honest review, which I have given. I was not required to write a positive review and have not been compensated for it in any way. All opinions expressed are my own.
